Oh man my weight loss is going to get kicked up a notch which is great. I set a goal of losing 25kg when I set out on this thing in March and while I'm half way, there are a mere 12 weeks left in the year so the gym will certainly come in handy with getting close if not completely achieving that goal!
It's going to be exciting to see how everything unfolds. The gym will definitely help with stress management too which = better weight loss as well. Massages and such are not included in the package but I think it will be worth my own money to get them once a week or every other week as each bit of extra relaxation will help. I'm hoping the first month trial period goes swimmingly well because it's a place I can see myself working for years and years to come!
Steak salad! Delicious and filling and nutritious. Steak, veggies, mayo. Slice/chop, mix, eat.

Before there was leftover steak, there was hot steak fresh off the grill, with a fried egg for extra yum. I only ate the yolk, tend to do that these days, egg white is not a favourite thing to eat.

Last night we had to turn on the heating in the house for the first time since spring, it's getting properly chilly out so it seemed only right to make a piping hot cream of broccoli soup and have it with rookworst (smoked sausage).

3 diced cloves garlic, 1 head + stem broccoli chopped in small bits, 300-400ml bone broth. Simmer all 10-15min. Buzz with stick blender. Season to taste, swirl in heavy whipping cream before serving...or greek style yoghurt... or sour cream. Whatever takes your fancy. Leave it out even if you're off the dairy.
Ahhh warming delicious food for the soul.
Tonight, rib steaks simmered for a couple hours in broth reduced down to gravy & the last of the summer salad.
Pretty soon it will be all kale and parsnips and sauerkraut and lactofermented vegetable juices again :) Almost that time of year!
I'm going to go back to making and consuming more bone broth, we got a good 6 kg of bones from the farmer when we picked up our meat pack yesterday and I want to start consuming 0.25-0.5 liter of it per day... gelatinous lovely broth. Will make a perfect breakfast with some greens, quick easy and nourishing.
Huzzah to health!
