I'm still not quite sure why the farmer stamps the eggs, the chickens are right there running all over the grass, fields and gardens. Seems a tad redundant to stamp them with a 0 which in NL = organic. Sorry but being simply organic just doesn't cut the mustard when it comes to eggs! (and dairy) (and meat)
However when it comes to lovely little pork snacks, there is no organic to be seen. Surely I can have a wee chat with the pork farmer to discuss adding crispy pork rind snacks to their array of fabulous products but we'll see. In the meantime there are 2 kinds I always have on hand...

The one on the left in the pink bag is the poofy baked kind with flavouring. 1 bag = 230cal; 30g protein; 0.8g carb; 12g fat (4g of which is saturated, most is monounsaturated ie the "good" stuff if you believe that nonsense)
The one on the right in the clear bag is the hard crunchy crackling type pork rind with no flavour, just a pinch of salt and awesome. 1 bag = 595 cal; 59g protein; 0.1g carb; 41g fat (15 of which saturated blahblah)
Either way you look at it, a perfect meal on its own.
Except when coworkers steal the bag and refuse to let you eat it till you've had a "proper" lunch... pffft whatever THAT means.
LCHF WINS! porkrinds = perfect meal.
I've kind of been a slacker in my diet lately, once a week I "treat" myself after a hard workweek and those one after meal treats turned into one day/week turned into 3 days a week. I thought hey no harm no foul, the weight still comes off even if it's a bit more slowly.
Well, after watching this and having a few (many) thoughts in this brain of mine (I'd like the book eventually if ever money falls in my lap -- maybe i can find it online somewhere for free weeheww!) Thinking thinking, too much thinking as per usual...
This is what I found...
I'm very curious about what nutritional ketosis could mean for progress, still waffling about going 6 weeks 'hard' to figure it out.
1)No treats *shrugs* I'd be logging in everyday to write about what's going on, especially in those whiney i want i want i want moments (there tend to be a lot of those; typical of anyone with a weight problem, we all have childish relationships with food in one way or another)
2) nope, that about sums it up...
Guess i'll be going for it after all. Would say I'll wait till after xmas since every year I get a box of frootloops, my favourite as a kid which I always got to eat when going to stay with my Dad. Happy nostalgia.
Maybe it's time to let it go! Besides, no money for anything besides video games makes it a bit easier methinks XD Priorities, priorities!
So, starting after the work xmas party this weekend it will be as follows:
<20g carb/day till Jan 23rd & beyond if I'm so inclined (probably will once the ball is rolling). Checking in daily with all the nitty gritty. Maybe I should weigh in one of these days too, see where things are in that regard.
Xmas won't be an issue since it's at the inlaws and we do fondue, plenty of meat and i'll bring my own mayo to avoid the sugary sauces. It might be a little higher carb but will avoid sweets and the usual culprits like the plague that they are ;) GET OUT OF MY BRAAAAAAAAIN sugar <_<
And one of these days if I ever get out of work on time, it's off to the gym!
